Contact Lenses

When it comes to contact lenses, some people are still under the impression that they are uncomfortable to wear and only suitable for young people.

Contact lenses could be the feel-good solution you’ve been looking for

Contact lenses today are made from materials which self-lubricate and deliver high quantities of oxygen to the eye – so that they can be comfortably and safely worn for longer periods.

Advanced Contact Lens Clinic

At Tyrrells and Embery we pride ourselves in being a centre for excellence in contact lenses. People wear contact lenses for many reasons including social, sports and convenience. The vast majority of contact lens wearers can successfully wear the usual soft lenses to meet their needs.

In some cases, however, the usual contact lenses don’t work and a more specialist solution is required. Examples of these cases include patients with corneal issues such as keratoconus or post-LASIK complications.

Contact Lens Aftercare

Cleaning your contact lenses is vital for maintaining good vision, lens comfort and eye health. This process only takes a few minutes.

Never use tap water in your case or on your contact lenses. Please refer to your contact lens solution instruction guide for further information about how long to soak your lenses or how often you should change the solution if you don’t wear them daily.

If you have any redness or discomfort in your contact lenses, we advise that you do not continue to wear them. Contact us so we can best advise you on the best course of action.
